American West Heritage Center Part 1, the farm and milking and farm chores

I had heard about the American West Heritage Center a few years ago and put it in my back pocket as something we would like to do sometime. The Logan trip was the time. Despite being a Friday in the summer, there was hardly ANYONE there so we had basically the whole place to ourselves for the most part. It reminded me a lot of the This is the Place Heritage Park but smaller. The pioneer and mountain man areas were closed for a big event the next day, but we still spend several hours there having fun.
Here we are checking out milking the cow. I was the only one brave enough to actually try "milking" the cow.
Seeing other piggies.
Checking out the farm chop.
The farmhouse was actually fairly large for a farmhouse. It was so fun to be the only family there checking it out.

Upstairs checking for the chamber pots :)

Doing farm chores for a prize.

hauling the wood to the summer kitchen, where they cooked all the food.

Here is inside the summer kitchen. It was very, very hot in there!
Checking out the root cellar. I was so jealous of all the awesome shelving. Some day I may have a pantry like that :)
