May 2012 pictures

Last week, I was outside with Liam and Collin was taking forever to get his shoes on.... so he came out with this since he couldn't find matching socks or shoes. Pretty creative, huh? I didn't even notice until our neighbor said, Collin is pretty ingenious at finding shoes. Love the boot in 90 degrees :)
Just had to take this one of Liam's hair :)
Last night Liam was wanting to hug everyone. We have hand, foot, mouth disease, so we can only hug each other.
They were full on hugs and SO cute!
Liam just LOVES LOVES Collin. They are oftentimes getting upset with each other, but last night after dinner was a touching moment for a mommy :)

Trip to Colorado

The weekend of Mothers Day we made a trip to Colorado to attend Ryan's grandpa's funeral. Though it was sad for the funeral, we got to see all of our O'Berry cousins and Grandpa O'Berry. We stayed in a hotel and went swimming the first night. Liam LOVES to swim...
And a lot of what Collin talked about on the LONG ride there was how he would get to go swimming. He was SO excited....though we spent most of our time in the "hot" pool.
After the funeral, everyone went to Golden Corral..... I have great memories with Great Grandpa O'Berry there. Collin discovered the dessert bar with Audrey.
He discovered chocolate covered marshmallows and cotton candy. He was in HEAVEN!
Grant put away "two" meals. He was fun to sit by!
Liam just had fun mostly watching people.
A picture of the O'Berry boys. I can't BELIEVE how good of smiles Collin did in these pictures.

All the boy grandsons with Grandpa O'Berry...
Remember I said no silly faces from Collin....oops!

Now, the best part about pictures for the boys (there are quite a few boy cousins) was playing in the dirt and running down trails.

Collin LOVED running down the trail with his cousins and playing with sticks.
 Liam loves Grant :)

I could stay out here forever Mom!
All of Ryan's siblings and their dad. Everyone was able to come and all their kids. It was SO fun!
Audrey was so nice to Collin all the time. This was back at Grandpa O'Berry's. I can't remember what they were doing, but he was laughing hard!

Last week we planted our garden. I'm always very excited to start the gardening process. We have such nice neighbors that allow us to borrow their tiller....
Collin LOVES to help plant the seeds. I'm a little worried since my boys have been playing in the dirt all spring and now, it's off limits. Who knows what will really survive.
I'm always amazed at how "small" the garden looks when you first plant it, then it gets out of control by the end of the summer.
As far as what we planted, of course tomatoes, eggplant, green beans, canteloupe (I'm hoping to have more success this year), watermelon (new), basil (new), cilantro (new), lettuce, peas, peppers, and zucchini. I think that's all...oh and butternut squash again. And we still have raspberries and strawberries!
And of course our garden wouldn't be complete without the pumpkin patch. Ryan even is doing some on the roof this year. Yes, it is his passion :)
Grow garden grow!

Fire Station

Recently, our family went and toured the fire station that is "on the way to Miss Emily's." Every time I take Collin to preschool, we pass this fire station and always look to see if any of the doors are open.
Collin got a big kick out of sitting in the fire truck. He even wore his fire station rain coat. He did NOT want the sound on, only the lights.
Here is the very nice firefighter showing all of the buttons. Collin asked a lot of questions.
Liam....well, he didn't ask any questions.
Mostly Liam ran around checking out all the short level parts of the fire trucks.
It was so interesting to hear all that the firefighters respond to in a given day.
They go out on 6-8 calls a day usually, but most are medical. They live at the fire station for 48 hours and then they have 3 days off.
Yeah for fire station tours!

Sadee's birthday

Sadee turned 9 this year. We just had a family/friends get together with cake and ice cream.
My sister made the cake from scratch. I can't remember the name of it but something like the best white birthday cake ever.
She got lots of fun presents. It was very girly :)

Liam.... well, he didn't destroy anything which was good.

I'm so glad we were able to celebrate with you Sadee!

Bear World

Over my birthday weekend, we went up to Idaho to go to Bear World and also to celebrate Sadee and I's birthdays, which are a day apart. Collin and Liam LOVED Bear World.
The baby bears were out and they are so cute. The worker that was holding these, they were making the cutest little nuzzling sounds.

And they so reminded me of my boys when they ran around and wrestled.
Get a load of this peacock. One of only two times I have seen it with full feathers out. It was awesome. Too bad no one was noticing of the peacocks :)
They also have a petting zoo.
The goat was a big hit.
But the favorite part were the rides. It's actually quite a steal, you get to see tons of bears, go to a petting zoo, see baby bears, and then go to a carnival basically!
Collin OF COURSE loved the train.
I'm not sure Sadee really did :)
They had a mini roller coaster.
These cars were also a big hit. Collin thought it was so cool he didn't have to go with an adult. They just ran around to the rides.
Liam got to ride the train with mommy and daddy a few times.
He also LOVED the train and was so sad when he had to get off.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for taking us to Bear World. It was so fun!
