We spent a good portion of the day yesterday at the Natural History Museum. I had the kids use their free PBS reading passes, so it was a pretty good deal since we just had to pay for me. And our friend Spencer came with us, which is always fun.
My kids love these table game things near the entrance that you could determine based on your interests what kind of scientist you would be.

Adeline LOVED the water area. LOVED. As in she got soaked several times.
Walking on the glass.
Looking at the dinosaur area.
Putting together the vases as a puzzle.
Learning about erosion.
Making the basin "flood."
Learning about your cell stuff.
Finding the animals in different environments.
Watching the ants in the ant hill.
Taking a break for lunch. We went to the new Egypt part right after, but Adeline FREAKED out due to the smell and so I hardly even got to see anything or read anything. The boys stayed and did some stuff, and I took the girls back to the water area. I was disappointed, because the Egypt thing looked SO amazing and well done. Oh well. Such is sometimes how it is in museums with little kids.
