Art class and simple Saturday adventure/snow caving and park

The girls did these cool "city skyline" drawings at art class this past week. The pictures don't really do it justice but it folds up so it looks like the car is driving along.
I thought it was so cool that each was so unique.
The young mens did their annual snow caving event. Getting ready for this is a little bit of a feat.
You can tell Liam is excited about all the gear he is sweating in :)

Collin almost looks like is going to climb Everest ha ha. They did have fun but since I said to not bring their phones, we have no pictures of their cool snowy adventure.
Since the boys were gone caving, we did a clean out the fridge night for dinner and Adeline had "crunchy lettuce" for dinner. I just had to make a note of it for posterity.
I took the girls with a couple of friends to the park for an hour for their adventure since the boys had just barely got back from snow caving. Look at the blue sky! It was still definitely cold and windy, but at least it was sunny.

They of course had a blast and didn't want to leave. I told them we are just getting into hopefully more park and outside weather soon.

Saturday adventure, Utah Grizzlies Hockey Game!

With our GetOut Pass, we had a free ticket to a Utah Grizzlies hockey game. We tried to go in January, but all the tickets were sold out, so this time we planned in advance and got our tickets for this game a couple weeks in advance. We got a pose in front of the Grizzly.
It was fun walking around the arena before the game. We got there about 45 minutes before the game started and that was fun, especially for the girls since they had never really been in an arena.
We had great seats about 8 rows up right basically behind one of the goal areas. Though it doesn't look very full now, the game was basically sold out! It was so fun and loud!

The team members out during warm-ups.

The girls definitely struggled keeping entertained during the game. It was a very close game though and so the boys and I wanted to stay until the end. So it was a late night for us. The girls got hungry so we attempted to go get popcorn once the third period started. But due to SO SO many long lines and people, the popcorn was gone, so we had to settle for cotton candy.
But it was safe to say they loved the cotton candy.
This picture makes me laugh.
Trying to get on the jumbo tron. The girls loved watching everyone on the jumbo tron. The camera guys really did a lot of fun things. Overall, I wished I would have learned more about the hockey rules to follow the game better, but the boys definitely liked it more than the girls this time :) And the grizzlies won!

Mid-February activities

Evelyn recently had physical therapy and one of our new goals is to walk for 15 minutes in her "orthotics" shoes to make sure she is doing even walking on each leg. So last week waiting for art class we walked for 15 minutes around Gardner Village.
Liam "babysitting" Boomerang.
Results from art class. I loved the idea of the paint brush running down.

Making little lions out of playdough.

Adeline had her friend Jade come over for a playdate on a non-school day. They did legos for awhile and it was fun to have a friend over!

Delivering secret valentine cookies to people in the pouring rain.
Adeline earning money by vaccuming out the van. She did a great job for her first time!

The girls over the weekend built a "gym" in our living room. It was very creative and cute and here is Liam coming to the gym.

Playing the shooting game.
Going for an aorthotics walk around the block on President's day.
Adeline was in charge of the lesson for family home evening this last Monday. She talked about the wise man and the foolish man building on the rock. She did great!

Valentines Day 2024, or parts of it :)

I cut 12 inches off my hair to donate to Wigs for Kids.
Grandpa working on a home project, of course. He is repainting and touching up the ceiling where our swamp cooler was.

New light fixture.
The girls start opening their valentines

Evelyn and her valentine box.

Liam helping grandpa with the cover.
It has become a Valentines Tradition when we can. Heart shaped pizza. Adeline helped put on the pepperoni.

Smaller heart pizza #2.
The youth and leaders did a special Valentine dinner for all the older ladies in our ward and neighborhood. It was so cool. The young men escorted them from their cars into the building.
Then we did some question and answer topics. I think it was a HUGE hit for the ladies.
The youth also helped serve them all the food.

Yeah for showing love!
