Liam makes turnovers, Adeline's first day of preschool, national day of service and funny Boomerang pic

Liam doesn't always love going to activity days, but he said these apple turnovers he made were really good. I need to make them he said. Hopefully I will remember to make them.

Adeline has been counting down the days of preschool FOR FOREVER. Finally it has her first day of school this year!

She just got right into the toy playing part of course.

Our stake participated in the day of service for Sept. 11. We did that as our family adventure day on Saturday. I went with the primary age kids and picked up garbage in the park. It was actually raining pretty hard a lot of the time. I was proud of the kids for keeping at it in the rain.

Kids Empire visit

My parents came down to help babysit for a Hale Centre Theatre date, so the next morning they came with Adeline and I to Kids Empire. I had been wanting to try it out for awhile, but knew the boys wouldn't really last long since it's really designed for smaller kids. She had a blast.

She especially loved this sled slide.

The best part was there were only 3 other people there and for awhile we had it all to ourselves.

These purple slides were fun. I actually climbed up and went down both the purple and pink slides with her.

The ball pit was fun too!

And the padres bought the girls a new rug for their room. Can you see how much Evelyn loves it?
 

Another zoo trip

It's been fun to start back up our weekly zoo trips with just Adeline and I. The zoo is definitely less busy in some ways.

She got to bring another friend to the zoo. Her name is "nightmare moon spark".

One of our favorite spots lately is the meerkats. We like to find the lookout one.

Here is one of my favorite animals in the little animal building. The tegu! He has been hiding the last several times we were there, so I wasn't sure if he was still around. But he was out this visit!
