Field day and Adeline gets a new bike

I hate that these are out of order, but yesterday was field day at Vista. Super fun day! I didn't get any pictures with Evelyn's group, but Mrs. Wilson took some of the kindergartners.
And Grandpa surprised Adeline with a new bike since her last bike the pedals fell off and it needed a new seat cover. She LOVES LOVES it. And the best part? Evelyn didn't have a mental breakdown that she didn't get a new bike. MIRACLES!
Under the massive parachute.

Yeah for field day!

Grandma and Grandpa come for a visit, going to Hale Theatre and getting new clothes

Grandma and Grandpa came for a quick couple day visit. They brought the girls these adorable outfits from their latest cruise to Turkey and Greece.

Going to the 4pm show of Mary Poppins Jr on Friday. It was so great! It's a great way to introduce your kids to the amazing Hale but without the longer shows and expensive prices.

The boys still get up crazy early to go to the gym with me.

Waiting for grandma and grandpa to come.

Secret adventure with Adeline Gale Center of History and Culture

During kindergarten testing week, Adeline didn't have school for a few days. One of the mornings I took her on a secret adventure to a place I had just heard about. I figured the boys were too told to really enjoy it, and didn't know if Evelyn would, thus Adeline was the testing group.

This was such a great little place! I can't believe I hadn't heard of it before! In some ways it reminded me of a children's museum and it's definitely geared for younger kids, but it was great. And it was FREE! We liked the little mining area.
Working on typewriters.

Somehow these pictures downloaded totally out of order. This was a little play house area. Adeline liked the little car.
Doing laundry.
The fishing spot was a big hit.
Gathering eggs.
We took a break and I taught her how to play checkers.

The schoolhouse was where we spent the most time. This was a marble run.
She loved the little slates.

Being the teacher as a kid is always fun!
She also really liked the grocery store.
Especially that they had a "cold" place for milk.

Sewing.
Back walking through the mine.
Spelling her name in morse code.
Seeing the little train going.
Driving the tractor. We will definitely be back. The best part was there was hardly anyone else there! WAHOO!

Mother's Day weekend 2023

The Thursday before Mother's Day Evelyn got her new brace. And they gave us a new pair of zipper shoes to try, brand name Friendly's. I hope they last longer than her other shoes! She was very excited!
Adeline came with me to buy the garden plants since we usually plant our garden the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend.
It was a little rainy that morning and Adeline was so upset we weren't going to have "garden day" and she wore her garden day clothes. Luckily it cleared up and we did plant it. She was a great help!
She kept this a secret several days before she brought it home. She was so so so excited. It was my mother's day present.
She made this little button magnet thing. It's a little lady bug I think?
And this pretty group of flowers came from Ryan. And Adeline drew the pretty card.
At church they had yogurt parfaits for all the women. The girls came home and wanted one and now they are on a parfait kick.
Liam spent a couple hours making me homemade ice cream. It was so sweet of him. It was pretty good considering it wasn't even made out of real cream!
And there was a gorgeous sunset....that my pictures didn't do justice of.

Adeline's field trip to Butterfly Biosphere

Here she is all ready, wearing her "field trip" shirt. She was SO excited.
These pictures made me laugh so hard. I can't even imagine.
Her class playing around on the inside area.

These are better face pictures from the picture above. Whoever caught this picture, it is the best. Seriously, these two pictures are going down for the record books. I asked Adeline if she was scared and she said yes :) it crawled up to her nose.

This butterfly on her arm was much better she said :) she loved loved it though.

Yeah for awesome field trips!
