South Dakota trip Day 3, Mt Rushmore

Once again this should be the last picture (looking for license plates in the parking lot ha ha)
First day in South Dakota we went to Mt. Rushmore fairly early in the morning to beat the crowds.

Closer down to the Avenue of the Flags in front.
By the Utah state flag part.
Doing the loop around the bottom of the statues.
Cute twin picture.
This was a little cool cave picture where you could look up at the statues.

Every president had some information about them as you walked around.

Cute deer on the trail.

More baby deer.
The artist that made the statues, had lots of scale models and this was the last one he made.
A cool Native American group was performing when we walked back to the main square.

The inside visitor center area.

And the best part? Getting presidential ice cream at 1030 am. It was way way expensive but very very excellent ice cream. Super good quality.

Adeline spent some money for the souvenir penny.
And of course we had to wander around the parking lot to find license plates. We found a couple hard ones!
