Carving pumpkins for Halloween, and Halloween night

Out of order pic of the girls coming back to organize all their candy.
Everyone, minus me, carved a pumpkin the night before Halloween. The girls and Ryan carved several.
Liam was very creative in carving his couple of pumpkins.
Collin carved a standard one.

And another attempt to spray paint our hair.
Liam went to a friend's house for a few hours and dressed as a pirate. Good last minute costume.
Adeline and her "rabid" costume.
Evelyn last minute changed her costume and dressed as "my mom giving out candy". I'm not sure anyone knew that other than our family.
It was a good night.

Vista Halloween Parade and Adeline's cross country race IN THE RAIN!

Out of order pic while waiting for the awards at the cross country race.
After all the effort, Adeline decided she didn't want to wear her fuzzy leg warmers for the parade, so here is her very low costume. Her really good friend Esther next to her was a potato which I loved.

Candy from the school day.
And here we are getting all prepped for the Elementary cross country race on Oct 30. It was a little drizzly when we got there.
But by the time the girls were heading over to start the race, it was POURING!
If you look close you can see Adeline. She was doing SO great.

When she came back for the second part around the stadium she was in the top 20 for sure.
Not many people can say they sat in pouring rain and then ran in pouring rain ha ha.
Go Adeline Go!

She told me afterward, she did NOT stop running once, which made me so proud of her. Even though running is hard for her, she definitely did better this fall than her long distance track race in the spring.
She was SO cold when she finished though. And her poor classes.
Her two good friends that ran with her. Esther (remember potato girl?) and Khloie.
They were SO glad to be done!

Prepping for Halloween, pumpkin carving, and Russell's baby blessing

Adeline wanted to carve a spooky pumpkin so she designed this and carved it all herself. I was impressed!
For our October Relief Society activity, we made these cute Halloween decorations with the Young Women. This is Evelyn's set, but they turned out so cute!
And this was the brunch after sweet baby Russell's baby blessing.

hanging out.
Adeline wanted to go as a RABID for Halloween (from a show she watches sometimes). So we bought some hair dye online and tried it. It was not great, as seen by the pictures.

More pumpkin carving.

A couple of Adeline's gymnastics classes

I feel like I take a lot of the same pictures of Adeline, but she really is improving! Here are some of her times from the second half of October.

One of the things I didn't get a picture of was she was able to a couple times do the back bend walkover all on her own! Yeah! She still can't do it consistently, but this was the first I had seen it totally all on her own with no support.
