Going to look for Garnets on Garnet Hill

The last day in Ely we went up to Garnet Hill to look for Garnets.

It was great because I told the kids they could take any rocks they want! No questions asked!

Adeline had a ton in her pockets within the first couple minutes. That girl and rocks.

Evelyn found the first garnet.

Then Collin found one.

Ryan found some cool rocks.

We hiked to the top of the hill. Then it got stormy and lightning and I made everyone come back down.

Ryan dug into a baby scorpion.

It was a fun, unique activity.
