Hiking Silver Lake and the Norberg Reunion

For a fun family adventure we went and hiked around Silver Lake. It's the first time we haven't done it in quite awhile around the middle of the summer, and more towards the end.

They had a fun color and nature scavenger hunt that was really fun for kids to do.

The lake was so much lower. I figured that would happen due to the drought, but I was still surprised.

We saw both a female and male moose on the walk.

The male moose is RIGHT behind the trees right here so a ranger was really close to make sure all was ok.

That night we went to the Norberg reunion. It's always fun to see cousins playing together. I didn't get too many pictures because I was actually chatting myself ha ha.

 

Evelyn turns 7!

She got up early on her birthday of course, and wanted to open a present.

It was her little play kitty on a leash which she has wanted for awhile. She was VERY excited.

Adeline and I surprised Evelyn at school to eat lunch with her, or sit by her and bring her a little treat. It was a fun surprise for her I think.
