Day 4 of cruise Icy Straint Point, whale watching

Pretty scene of the port at Icy Strait Point. Look, a tiny bit of blue sky!
Islands and mountains all around.

This was us on our little boat. The guide Shawn was FANTASTIC. He took us way out and we didn't see much for a little bit, then there was a group of 5-6 whales that just kept going around.

My pictures aren't great, but this was them blowing through their blow holes.

Seeing tales in the distance.

You have to stay so far away from them for safety purposes.

But then without us knowing they randomly turned and did an awesome pass less than 100 yards away from us. It was so very very cool.

Love the humpback whales!

Seeing their tales was so cool.

3 tales in a row! Shawn said it's really unusual to see this many whales all together for this amount of time. Usually when he takes people out, they just go around and chase 1 whale at a time, so to see 5-6 for awhile was really unusual.

And hey! A decent amount of blue sky!
This was a really pretty scene when the sun came out.
Looking and hearing the loud noises of the sea lions.

Our boat and our guide. This was such a fun excursion! And we decided to walk through the town of Hoonah on the way back to the ship. So fun!
