Alaska cruise FINALLY 2022, Day 1 Vancouver

After 2plus years, we finally got to go on our cruise to Alaska! We flew into Vancouver a day early, but since our flight was late, it was basically 1/2 day early. First picture of downtown.
We changed up our days and went to Stanley Park. It took awhile to figure out which bus went there, but it was SO pretty!
Pretty flowers.
The lumberman's arch.
Finding salmon berries along one of the hikes. They are more sour than raspberries, but look similar.

Another pretty fern.
Vancouver is SO green. It was so pretty. This park is massive. We saw only about 1/4 of it.

Can you picture having a massive green field in Utah? Nope, I can't either.

View of downtown.

Vancouver downtown is SO unique. Every tall skyscraper has very cool architecture. No building looks ANYTHING like the other. These pictures are too far away to see that, but such cool tall buildings.

Walking along the waterfront and seeing "canada place" the port terminal.
Fun little lighthouse.

Across the bay to North Vancouver.

Pretty blue heron.
Cool old church.
Vancouver public library.
Gastown steam clock. This is VERY famous in Vancouver. The steam blows and whistles a song every hour on the hour. We didn't know that at the time, but got there just in time to hear and see it. And the place where we stayed was about a 3 minute walk from here!

Pretty pink tree made me think of Adeline. Gastown was a very cool old neighborhood. By the time we walked around most stores were closed, but it was still cool. Vancouver day 1 was great! And despite looking cloudy when we arrived, the weather was beautiful!
