Summer family vacation Day 1, Cove Fort, Utah

I have been wanting to do Cove Fort for awhile, but it has just never worked out when we are in that area or we have had to change plans, etc. So this trip it was the first thing and "break" on our way down to Bryce. This is outside the fort.

It was very interesting to hear why they built the fort to protect the telegram and how one family really was just responsible for it out there in the wilderness. 

In the different rooms, they had a scavenger hunt you could do to find different items. It was a very nice fort and the rooms were really nice in my opinion.

If we completed the scavenger hunt you got this cool little toy that spun around on the string. We were there for a couple of hours and then ate lunch at their nice picnic tables.
