After we survived the hike down into the canyon and back up out.Years ago, we went with my parents to Bryce Canyon when Collin and Liam were super small, but I know we didn't hike down into the canyon and back out. The famous "hike the canyon" trail. So I have been wanting to do it for awhile, but it was a 3 mile hike so didn't know if the girls could handle it until they were a little older. So since we had the national parks pass with Evelyn this year, this was the year to do it! Here we are right outside on the rim trail.
Starting to hike down on the Queen's Garden trail.Adeline brought her mini camera so she could take lots of pictures.Love this picture of all four kids!Proof I was there.
We did get there fairly early since I knew it would be hot coming back out of the trail. It was such a gorgeous "my favorite color of blue sky" day.
There was a little mini tunnel on the way down that was fun.Evelyn REALLY liked the mini tunnel.
More of the trail. Just so pretty. This was definitely a highlight for the girls. There was a little chipmunk on the trail that came right up/on their hands. They were LOVING it. I tried to get pictures but I wasn't as close and didn't want to scare him away. He was obviously used to people though!
Taking a break.More chipmunk time.
Almost to the "wall street" section, or the crazy cool hot switchbacks :)We stayed here for a bit since it was a good break time and cooler in the shade and a slight breeze. My face gets as red as my shirt ha ha.
I love this picture of our family! Right at the bottom before we start ascending.
The famous switchbacks. We all made it. The girls struggled a bit near the end, but I was so proud of us for finishing!
After we hiked back out to the canyon and had looked around the parking lot for license plates :) Glad we were done!
