Capitol Reef-Capitol Gorge trail and hotel time

So due to a variety of factors, we ended up doing the capitol gorge/pioneer register trail in the heat of the afternoon. Now writing this the week after, I found out all the areas we were in last week were hitting record highs of 100 plus degrees. So it was toasty! But I love this picture of my sweet hiking girls. They were such troopers!
Taking a shade break.

Just gorgeous scenery.

Climbing up to the larger holes in the rock. So much cool geology in this area. I wish we could have studied more about all that stuff.

Adeline finding her rocks. We carried a lot of rocks around on the trails due to her.
Liam the mountain goat.
Oh cute.

Another shade break playing in the sand.
This was a cool little alcove that had tons of super soft sand. The kids LOVED playing in this area.

Back at the hotel eating our spaghetti dinner from the cooler.

Exhausted kiddos! It was SUCH a fun, hot, beautiful day!
