Hidden Lake hike

Out of order pic, climbing up the mountain before we left.

I had heard about a hike "Hidden Lake" that was on the Best Friends land. This was the entrance to the path that had a little river flowing through it. This was NOT Adeline's favorite hike she told me because it was just along a road most of the way.

Here we are at the Hidden Lake. The girls were good sports, but Adeline really struggled because, unlike I told her, she had not had a good breakfast. So she was hot and hungry. Not a good combo. But she MADE it because she can do hard things.

It was kind of more standing water algae type lake but it was still fun to see it hidden back in there. I wondered as the spring snow melts if it gets any bigger.

And of course my climbing kids wanted to go everywhere up the mountain that the lake was under.

Adeline said "take a picture mom!" So I did. Some of them wanted to climb more, but I had to say no because we still had to get back to the car and hurry over to the vegan animal cafe for lunch.
