Saturday adventure Oct 5 Temple Quarry Trail

Due to Adeline being in the hospital last week, we didn't get to go on a longer fall hike due to being sick, etc., and this weekend was conference, but we did hurry up and go hike along the temple quarry trail in Little Cottonwood Canyon for about 45 minutes before conference started.
I was a little disappointed that there weren't more fall covered leaves, but the colored leaves had either mostly fallen, or the leaves hadn't changed since it was too low elevation. But here we are walking up to the trailhead.
Evelyn and Adeline had made charts to find different things on the trail.
Adeline had a very specific amount of things she wanted to find.
Big rocks climbing up.
Attempt at cute kids' picture.
This was the riverbed where I think the pioneers tried to make a canal to try and get the rocks down to the temple.

The kids loved walking along all the riverbeds.

Surfing on the rock ha ha.

Hey, there is a little color here!

Liam channeling his inner Olympian shot put.

More big rock climbing.
I let the kids do a silly shake your bum picture if they then did a cute smiley picture. This made me laugh because they all immediately turned around, shook their booty, and I laughed.

This was part of the dam that had broken apart.
It was cool to explore around and see this cool wall that had rusted but I'm sure used to be a door to let water in.

Trying to spin the door down.

Thank you mother nature for a fun little get out of the house walk!
