Big Saturday adventure Antelope Island-Fielding Garr Ranch

We hadn't been to Antelope Island in years. I don't think Adeline and Evelyn have ever been there, so we made a day out of it. None of us had been to the Fielding Garr Ranch. It was cool. And hardly anyone else was there. We liked the old farm tools.

I can't remember now what this does, but every kid had to try it out.

It was fun learning about sheep in the sheep pens. This ranch really did a LOT back in the day. They would shear I think 10,000 sheep in a very short period of time.

Checking out the silo.

The old trucks were a hit.

The boat was a hit too. Liam pretending to send everyone off ha ha.

In the little museum they have close by.

Figuring out the pitchfork.

Getting in the saddles were also big hits.

Doing this lasso was several kids' favorite things of the whole day. They spent quite a few tries trying to get the calf lassoed.

In the bunk house.

It was amazing all what they did there on the ranch. I found it MUCH more interesting than I thought I would.
And every outdoor adventure Adeline ALWAYS finds a stick that she gets very emotional about leaving behind. The "ranch" stick picture. We spent over an hour on the ranch before we headed to the next part of the island.
