Collin Ryan O'Berry is here!

So...here is the brief story of the arrival of Collin. On Wednesday night, August 6th, my parents and sister had come down to help me. I had been scheduled to be induced at the LDS Hospital on Thursday morning at 7, but apparently Collin finally got the message his mommy really didn't want to be induced. So....when my family and Ryan and I went to eat at Applebees, the "real" contractions started. I finally told Ryan, I think I'm having real contractions and he started timing them... and for about an hour I had them about every 5 minutes....so finally my dad and Ryan thought I had better go to the hospital...the new one :)
We did and this first picture of me is getting monitored for the first hour.
It took about 3 hours before I got the epidural and it was not going so well, and then it felt very nice, as you can see by my face.
So..needless to say, after 10 hours of labor, including 2 hours of pushing little Collin Ryan O'Berry arrived at 635 am on Thursday, August 7th. I totally was emotional at his birth and just amazed that my body was able to deliver him okay without an epidural. He was 21 inches long, and looks a lot like his daddy.
Here is me in the middle of the night feeding and playing with mommy. He likes to play during the nighttime.

This was a classic face of when Collin was born...and he still gives it tons. I call it the Ryan look.

Me holding little Collin soon after he was born.

I just got my eye drops.
Here I am going home from the hospital.

Crying my eyes out.

We call this one Mr. Froggy.

Sleeping at home.

Zonked.

CONGRATULATIONS! I am soooo excited for you! Collin is beautiful! He is definitely lucky to have you as a mommy. My boys liked to play in the middle of the night at first, too. Hopefully that doesn't last too long! Just make sure to wake him up at LEAST every 3 hours during the day so he gets the idea...
I can't wait to see more pictures!

Congratulations. I'm so happy for you. Isn't being a mom such a fun experience. I remember after Jenna was born, thinking to myself, "I'm her mom!" and it was weird to me, in a good way. Or maybe I'm just weird. I love the pictures.

btw, How much did he weigh?

Oh, Alisa he is beautiful. I am so happy for you guys, and for the fact that you didn't have to be induced, that is awesome - I am sorry you didn't get your last meal in peace, because all your meals now will consist of meeting others needs before your own. I know you will do a great job!
Now get some sleep when he is sleeping!

Congratulations! Collin is of course adorable! I love his blond hair! So glad to finally hear that he arrived safe and healthy and that you didn't need the induction or the c-section :) How much did he weigh? My guess is 6lbs 7oz. Enjoy these newborn days - they seriously fly by!

YAY!!! He is so tiny and so adorable. My babies have both been at least 2 lbs more than that at birth, so it's very fun to see a teeny one. I love that he came on his own so that you could be at the hospital you wanted and didn't have to be induced! Hope all is going great!

He is so cute! I am impressed with how well you are adjusting, Alisa. It gets SO much better once they figure out how to sleep through the night. I need to come and see him again. Congrats!
