Day 8, Depoe Bay whale watching

We had planned whale watching in Depoe Bay since SO many places had said this was the best place. But we had a little bit of time to wander around the town before our tour. Funny surfing big foot guy. 

In front of the bay. The weather was SUPER foggy that day. 

There was a nice shop owner that gave the girls some little amythest jewels. 

The tour place we went to had just had tons of people return from a fishing trip and this guy could cut and fillet the fish like a crazy guy. He was amazing how fast he did it.

The whale watching tour ended up being very disappointing :( I know they don't have control over the weather but due to so low clouds and fog and drizzly weather, we didn't really get to see much of anything. Adeline was especially disappointed since this was the most thing she had been looking forward to on the whole trip. We did see a few sea lions, but not really any whales for the most part. The boat guys tried SO hard to find them, but the weather was just not great. 

Oh well. We will have to try another time!
