Adeline's 2nd birthday celebrations part 1

We specifically didn't have any huge plans for Adeline's birthday because, well she was turning two. A day before the girls got to share this birthday cake yogurt. It was a hit.
That morning we made sprinkle pancakes. Which is basically, pancakes with a few sprinkles on them. And apparently chocolate syrup is required the boys said.

Collin had his ski utah trip on Adeline's birthday. Could you tell he was dressed for cold? He actually did snowboarding and was a natural apparently according to his teacher.
Adeline chose this bow to wear.
While Evelyn was at preschool, we made her pink cake.

And we did some fun bracelet making.
And right after we picked up Evelyn from preschool we went to big kid storytime which was all about oceans. The girls LOVED it. It was a perfect morning for a birthday at the library!
Miss Shelley had all these fun stuffed animals from the ocean. Because we had just been there a couple of times over the last year, the girls knew every animal!

 Swimming like fish.

Then we had to match colors on the fish.

But the biggest hit of all was playing with the water beads. We stayed an extra half hour playing with these things. Evelyn even did a ton of great R hand therapy by holding the cup and dumping and emptying.

Adeline did play but mostly she loved to squish the water beads. Especially the big ones. They both had a ball!

 Look at that righty go!

Miss Shelley was so nice, she let us take a bunch of water beads home so we could play at home.
