Home Depot projects

Earlier this year Ryan started taking Collin to the Home Depot Saturday workshops.
It's a fun daddy-son bonding time. This time he got to build a car. And they even had a real race!
Collin loves painting the best.
And he loves the little pins he gets with each project!
Collin is ALL about tools and machines, so he loves "the man store" as we call it.

Random March pictures from 2012

We got another semi big snow storm in March. Collin LOVES to go and help Ryan shovel. He could do it for HOURS....soon enough, he can shovel all the snow himself we keep telling him.
All decked out in the snowsuit.
Again, Liam at the window. I'm too mean of a mom to let him go out in the snow, he watched from the window and had a ball.
It's a joke in our family to have "grandpa" Collin or Liam when we make their pants super pulled up. Here is Liam's version of Grandpa Liam.
The pictures don't do it justice but he looked SO hilarious wandering around. Yeah for March!

Free zoo day

This year we only made it to one of the free zoo days. But it was SO much fun! It was Liam's first time to the zoo if I remember right, and since Collin isn't taking naps as much these days, we stayed there over two hours!
It was a bit chilly, but we just bundled up. The animals were out and about and for about the first hour (we got there right when it opened at 9) we were practically the only ones there.
We got to be up close and personal to so many of the animals. The tigers were especially close and very menacing.
I know....horrible picture, but the tiger had literally just walked by the glass.
Collin and Liam both love animals so it was so fun to go.
The giraffes were a huge hit. They were inside this time, but we got to see the blue tongues, as well as get very close to their heads.
Liam in his cute little monster hat. LOVE this hat.
We got to go and see many of the animals a second time and it warmed up a bit once we got there.
Yea for free zoo days!

Snow in February

It has been the weirdest winter this year. Collin has only had to break out his snow suit and boots like twice. Sad.... being the lover of outdoors that he is, we were SO excited to finally have some snow that lasted all day.
Snowballs is the new thing for him. I don't think he discovered really what you can do with them until this day.
The staredown.
Yes, we were outside for quite awhile that afternoon. Yeah finally for some snow!

Random pics of Liam from February

When we bought our house, we loved our front room window.
Granted, I'm too lazy to find the pictures of Collin almost in this exact same pose by our window, probably same age. The window is addicting...
Liam loves to haul things around as his "pets"....namely the glue gun and the hand mixer. He could do that for hours!

Collin's preschool valentine party

Yes, I'm once again behind on posting, but our new Internet service is MUCH faster, so I can post faster and easier. Back in February, I got to be the helper mom for Collin's Valentine's preschool party.
It was so fun to see how the preschool went. And even though Collin kept looking at me and being silly since I was there, I still got to see a lot of cute things.
Collin got to lead the pledge when I was there. That was cool. It was more cool to hold the flag :)
The best part was the singing and the songs Miss Emily had. They were awesome. All movement songs. I must get some of them for me at home.
We also got to make fun Valentines and hand out the Valentines.
Loved these little mats they sit on.
Or jump on or whatever Collin is doing here...
Doing real school stuff...
Thanks for letting me come to the party!

Sadee's baptism

The beginning of February we got to attend Sadee's baptism.
She looked so grown-up and the baptism was especially touching. It was just a family baptism so it felt to me much more special and especially for Sadee.
Congratulations Sadee! Thanks for letting us come to your special day!

O'Berry family dance parties

Recently, we hold O'Berry family dance parties. Our boys LOVE it!
A new addition to the dance party is our little mini trampoline. Collin loves to dance on this.
The favorite dance group is Crazy Frogs, followed by Firework. Liam LOVES music.
So, close to most nights we have spondaneous O'Berry family dance parties where all of us look silly dancing, especially daddy :)

The Shrine

Last summer, we FINALLY got rid of the wood paneling wall in our living room. YEAH!
Now you can call it a shrine to Collin and Liam. We don't light the candles, but still :)
I got this idea from my sister-in-law that she had on her wall. Ours is a little different, but I tried to have fun pictures of the two boys in their own frames.
Either way, it's SO nice to have the wood paneling gone. Our kitchen wall that also had wood paneling is also gone, but it's still just bare paint.
