Natural History Museum, Part 1

Out of order pic in making the earthquake withstand the highest earthquake in Hawaii.

Usually I take the kids once each summer to the Utah Museum of Natural History. I like it because the girls get free entrance passes with the PBS kids program. And for the most part there are things my boys still enjoy even as teenagers, which is hard to find in museums sometimes for older and younger kids. Here we are starting on the rooftop identifying the mountains.

Collin is relaxing ha ha.
Seeing the different atmospheres in a grove of trees and how it affects them.

I always like watching a little bit of the Native Americans describe their culture and dancing.

Here we are studying DNA strands.

DNA coding.
Figuring out parts of the cell.
Adeline enjoyed looking under the microscope.
The ant farm.

I like finding the different parts in these different atmosphere displays.

We made a huge dam at the water table. We spent a decent amount of time there building it, but the water still trickled through.

Back to the earthquake building.

Jumping to see how much pressure you could do. I was terrible at this.
