Girls get a gift from Allory and Evelyn starts volleyball

Allory painted these canvases for Evelyn and Adeline. They were so excited!

Evelyn wanted to try out volleyball. I found a little league for 6 weeks through the Murray Rec Center. It's a beginning league so everyone for the most part has very little experience.

Kari and Joe lent her this super nice indoor volleyball to practice with so we had done a little "bumping" in grandma and grandpa's garage a few days beforehand.

Her team is all 10 girls so that is fun.

Serving is definitely a little tricky. We will have to work on it.

Halloween 2024 and Day of the Dead celebrations at school

Evelyn spent some of her own money for this Descendants Evie costume. The wig was especially cool.

Adeline then decided she wanted to be "mal" from Descendants so we bought a wig off Amazon and found the dress at DI for a couple bucks. Here is wig transformation process.

These girls looked great!

Also at the school, after the Halloween parade, I went and saw the ofrendas for Day of the Dead. This is the first year they have done ofrendas at Vista, it was very beautiful and touching. Here is Grandpa O'Berry's picture.

The fourth grade table was REALLY beautiful and amazing. The stuffed little pink fish was Evelyn's contribution for Grandpa O'Berry as a memory since he had a fish tank.

The blue skull is Evelyn's.

And for the first time since 2019, Ryan's work did trick or treating.

The girls got TONS of candy.

You can't tell but those pillowcases were half full in less than 30 minutes!

And trick or treating that night, 2 more bag fulls!
 

The girls went with their friend Ondine, also a character from Descendants (chloe) and had a great time!

The Sunday right when we got home from the funeral was the primary program. Here the girls are ready to go beforehand. They did SO well.

Ryan grew a LOT of very nice large and great shaped pumpkins this year. For family home evening before Halloween, Adeline chose for her lesson to carve them....so they did.

We have carved a lot of pumpkins in our day.

Evelyn's was very silly.

And Adeline herself was very silly!

Evelyn then had Ryan add eyebrows. Can you see the difference?

Liam's was very unique. I liked his a lot.

And our sweet neighbor Irene lent us her basketball hoop for awhile. Liam has been wanting to shoot hoops outside, and I didn't want to spend tons of money so this was a win win! He enjoys shooting out there. It's in a weird spot right in the middle close to the road, but that's honestly the best option for the shape and structure of our house and driveway.
