Taylorsville Dayzz

Our family doesn't get into too many things with Taylorsville Days, but we love to go on the "cheap" ride day at the carnival. It was so much more fun this year because since Collin was a little bigger, he got to go on some of the "bigger" kiddie rides. The train is always a hit with our boys.
Liam was too little to ride on a lot of things, but he LOVED to see Collin come around corners or watch for him. He has this "oh!" face (just like Collin did when he was Liam's age) that is PRICELESS.... I tried to capture it on camera, but missed it.
 There's Collin!
Both the boys rode the carosaul. Liam LOVED it and so did Collin.
We chose a different horse each time.

It was so fun to ride on so many rides! Even though everyone was hot and sweaty...... understatement there.

Of course Collin just the blue car to ride in.
He was fast becoming good buddies with this boy on the car.
I thought for sure Liam was going to topple over this fence to see the train.
This duck ride had the most annoying loud sound....anyone remember?
Here was the up and down ride. Too bad Collin realized this was his favorite ride on the last ticket!
Finally! The "oh!" face in action!

Two little boys

Collin has a friend Dylan, that hangs out a lot with his Grandma Jenna down the street. He loves the SAME things that Collin does.
We had him come down for most of the day this past week, and it was on garbage truck day.
We had to take a swim break to view all angles of the garbage truck and all it's glory.
Seriously..... these little boys were SOOOO excited... it was too funny.
We got out our litlte swimming pools (I was too lazy to get out the huge one and blow it up) but they had lots of fun, especially when they got to eat popsicles RIGHT IN THE POOL!

Farm animals at the library

This past week we went to the activity at the library and they had farm animals. Both my boys LOVED the pig.
What was amazing to me was the mom of this huge pig is only a little over a year old and weighs 600 pounds. This baby pig we saw gets to eat whatever it wants..... it's trying to "bulk up".
There were also bunnies, chickens, and a baby goat.

This week Collin opted to have a picnic at the library so we whipped out the picnic blanket and ate on the library lawn. He thought it was so fun!

City Creek and Splash Pads

Sadee and Ava and my mom and dad came for a visit in the middle of June.
We met them down at City Creek and we got to see it for the first time. It was very fun to walk around.

 We especially loved the fountains.

And the tall bridge you got to walk across was also fun.

We also rode Trax (Collin's favorite) and went to the downtown library for a few minutes.

Saturday morning Ava and Collin went to Lowe's to build the cool cars.

We all went to a splash pad in Cottonwood Heights on Saturday afternoon.
The biggest fan was Liam. He just kept running in and out.
Collin took awhile to get warmed up to the idea. The water was pretty cold, but it was fun for a hot day.

Yep, no fear from this guy!

What we do each day in June....almost

One day we made homemade cinnamon rolls and Collin got to put on the frosting. He was very excited.
We had some friends come over to play one night and everyone LOVED this slide....
It's a hand me down from Sadee and Ava (this the color pink), but none of the kids cared. They just kept going up and down and up and down.

Liam really loved the slide, and they picked strawberries, and other things.

 The line sometimes got long.
We still go to the library at least once a week for the summer programs. A couple of weeks ago they had this guy that did music from all over the world. Liam LOVED it, but Collin thought it was too loud, so we didn't stay long.

Nearly every day we walk over to the little park by our house and play and eat lunch at the park. My kids LOVE doing this.
 Liam loves the tunnel.
Collin really has learned to ride the scooter this summer so he "scooterers around" he tells me. That's what he does at the park.

Overall, we love this little park, plus it has horses to see on the way and it is a 5 minute walk from our house.
One day I found Collin making new friends in the field :)
