Open house with padres and Clare, art class, and finger bracelets

When my parents were here, my aunt drove down from Bountiful to come to the Taylorsville temple open house. It wasn't as busy as when my family went since it was first thing in the morning during the week, but still SO pretty. And different tulips were in bloom from the couple weeks before!

House project-painting the upstairs hallway

My dad came down for a few days while my mom went to BYU women's conference. One of the projects he tackled was painting our hallway .

Here is all the masking off.

I tried to choose a color that was similar but lighter version.

Almost done with the first layer.

Ever since we remodeled our kitchen (YEARS ago) our upstairs hallway has needed to be the ceiling fixed and painted due to some electrical things we changed in our kitchen. So now it looks SO good!

He also got us a new vent that looks SO nice. We didn't have much hanging up in the hallway, but I'm not sure I want to totally put it up again because the bare walls look nice ha ha.

My cute saying had to go away, but that's ok. This hallway now looks like it's brand new.

He also painted all the white around the stairs.

And put in a touch light at the bottom of the stairs. Thanks dad! IT looks SO good! So much brighter and lighter!
 

Liam's ji jitsu against Dean

A couple days ago, Liam had to have his partner Dean who is basically super good. It was really interesting to watch Liam try and take him down.

I asked Liam after if it was hard and he said of course mom. But Liam always likes going with Dean (when he has in the past) because he learns a lot.

 

More bday celebrations, library and Just Add Chocolate!

Took the girls (they wanted some more chapter books) and Collin to the library. These pictures made me smile they they all found this bench in the library and wanted to read for awhile before we left for home.

We did a new adventure for my birthday night after Ryan got off work. We went to a place called Just Add Chocolate where you make your own chocolates. It was really fun and different.

Most of us made the "creme center" chocolate cups. We didn't totally know what we were doing so some of us wished we would have put something different in the middle for variety.

And a couple days before my birthday, Adeline wanted to get me an "early birthday" present and bought me this little chocolate cake all with her own money. I thought it was so so sweet.
