Since it was Ryan's weekend to work, and we had a big adventure last week (circus) this Saturday was more low key. We went for a couple hours swimming to a new rec center (we had never been swimming there before) because with the all county pass kids get in free, so only had to pay for Ryan and I.
It was definitely on the smaller side of indoor rec centers we had been to, but still fun. These holding things in the kids area were fun to dump out and do things in.
Liam invited a friend to come and they played basketball most of the time.
Evelyn and Adeline went down the water slide a lot and did mermaid adventures.
It was nice because the main pool area, both girls could touch the entire area, which makes things a lot easier, even though they are getting to be better swimmers. It was a fun couple of hours.

Adeline's cheetah drawing and she gets sick
Adeline drew and painted this at her art class. It's been one of my favorites she has done.
And right after we went to the allergist, a few days later, she got sick. She never sleeps and especially was so cold she had to wear her coat :( But the newly prescribed inhaler really helped so she was out only for a couple of days and then feeling better. I hate winter sicknesses.

Collin gets his learner's permit, Adeline art class, chicken, bracelet and fancy Evelyn hair
Collin is taking driver's ed this semester and we finally got his permit. Yeah! Thank goodness we scheduled an appointment. That was a very, VERY long line for the no appointments people.
Adeline, like I have mentioned before, is getting to be a VERY good artist. Here she is with her special paper mache polar bear.
She drew cherries as a fruit.
Her little valentine painting postcard.
Made honey lime chicken street tacos that everyone loved.
made an "armor of God" bracelet with the young women.
Curled the ends of Evelyn's hair per her request. It took awhile but she loved it. They didn't last very long :(
And Adeline drew this little robot all freehand. She is getting to be a fantastic drawer!

Saturday adventure Feb 1 Jordan World Circus
A few weeks ago, I saw some tickets or an advertisement for Jordan World Circus. I asked Ryan about it and he thought that would be a fun adventure. Ryan is the only one who had been to the circus in our family so I thought a new adventure would be fun. Here is the motorcycles in the cage. These guys made me nervous.
Walking around beforehand, but I had told my kids I'm not spending any of my money on these things.
Some people were more excited for the token kid picture than others.
These aerials were very cool. It's hard to capture in photos.
Fun dancers.
There was a guy called "laser man" that was pretty cool too.
Overall, everyone liked it, but not sure we would go again anytime soon. There was a lot of "upselling" things and everyone liked the actual performances part, but there was only about 60-70 minutes of that. We all wish there would have been more actual performances and acts. But it was a fun adventure and close to home which was nice!
