Week before Christmas festivities Part 2

We braided Evelyn's hair the night before the Vista singing program because she wanted curly hair.

She was so excited to have her hair look "just like Sadee!"

For the first time in the history of the singing, I saw some of my kids' actually singing! I could see their heads!

This was a sweet song Adeline got to do with hand bells as a "leader of learning".

Evelyn got to wear these cute reindeer antlers. She did great!

And this also happened on Dec 20. Collin FINALLY got his braces off!

He still has a wire behind his bottom teeth and will have to wear an upper retainer for awhile and at night, but still! Glorious day!

I treated him to Arctic Circle for lunch.

And Boomerang one morning somehow got out of his cage and I finally found him here. After much trevail and watching him like a hawk, Ryan rescued me and came home from work to put him back in the cage. I tried twice and Boomerang was having none of that.
 

Week before Christmas festivities, Part 1

Collin had his Christmas band concert. Now he sits more in the middle so we couldn't even see part of his head, but we saw his baritone top! It was great! Concert band was definitely the highlight!

Boomerang started doing this this past week. Going toward the warm sun. I feel you Boomerang, I feel you.

Trying to stay warm with cute Norway headbands Grandma and Grandpa gave us. It got really cold for Utah, the highs were in the low 20s.

Fancy hair for Sunday church.

She wanted it to look like Elsa hair ha ha.

Liam wanted to make Christmas cookies on Sunday, so he made these.

And we liked eating them.

GIrls Christmas Dance performance

The girls have been working hard over a few months to be able to perform their Christmas dance. It was actually in a really pretty dance room at the performing arts center right by our house. Yeah! And the video didn't work apparently, so I have totally random pictures instead. But they did great!

The best part is it was short and sweet. In and out with pictures and everything in less then a half hour. Score for fast performances!

They took some fun pictures by the pretty background and did some silly poses.

 

Zoo lights and random pics and Evelyn dresses fancy for the Nutcracker Ballet

Due to a lot of weird things, we have been wanting to go do Zoo lights for several years, but it just hasn't happened. Last year two kids got covid so we were quarantined, the year before that we had tickets but then had to wait on a covid test from Adeline and it came back too late the night we had tickets, the year before that Adeline had just barely got home from the hospital..... so we were very excited to go this year! It was very very cold..... and crazy amounts of people going up that way due to the German Market at the This is the Place. Had I known that we may have chosen a different day, but this was basically the only night we could do it that wasn't a school night.

So fun!

Collin hasn't been to the zoo in forever, and he is now a MASSIVE compared to the gorilla :)

Proof I was there! I'm glad we took advantage of our membership discount to go this year. I don't think we will be renewing our zoo passes for the first time in almost 12 years because it's just too hard with all the kids in school and as our kids get older they have shown interest in other things. But we have LOVED our time going to the zoo!

Evelyn's school class had a field trip downtown to the Nutcracker Ballet and she wanted to dance fancy for it. I worked really hard to attempt fancy hair and I let her wear her fancy dress and not even her dress and her fancy boots. Of course she loved it.
