7/3/24

Collin sprains his ankle and girls and I go swim at Taylorsville pool FINALLY!

So Collin rolled his ankle and could barely walk when we went to the trampoline park the day before, so ran him to the instacare the next day. Here are his x-rays confirming no breaks or fractures but a sprain.
With some previous trauma apparently.

So now he has a big boot to wear for a couple of weeks.
And that afternoon the plan was to have all the kids come, but obviously Collin couldn't so understandably, Liam opted to stay home as well. The Taylorsville Pool got remodeled for this summer, so this is the first day we have gone. The girls and I had a lot of fun! It was only 85 degrees out, which is MUCH cooler than it has been, but the water was warm.

Altitude Trampoline Park using getout pass

I recently discovered that Altitude Trampoline Park is on the get out pass so for an active activity we went on Monday afternoon for an hour to jump. I think only Liam and Adeline had been there before with birthday parties. This was a hard hard ninja course.

Adeline had to really stretch to make this one!

Here were some bigger trampolines back in this section.
And you could run and "jump and run" kitty corner on this trampoline.
This was like a "high dive" foam pit.

Collin and Liam liked this basketball area best.

The girls (and I even jumped over it a few times!) this circle thing you jump over.

And more on this later, but Collin ended up spraining his ankle jumping on this high basket. Sigh. So we ended up going to instacare the next morning.

Overall, it was a good way to burn an hour being active! Thanks getoutpass AGAIN for saving our family money!!!

Taylorsville Dayzz parade and girls date at Kearns pool

My kids always get excited about the Taylorsville Dayzz parade every year. I like it because we can leave about 5 minutes before it starts, walk around the corner and get a spot and be home in five minutes when it is done.
The kids like it because they throw TONS of candy.

This guy was advertising balloon creatures.

Our stake float! It turned out really good!

For a Saturday adventure I took the girls with our free reading library passes to the Kearns pool on Saturday. It was fun. Lots and LOTS of people there, but it was a free active activity for a couple of hours. Ryan took the boys to the new planet of the apes movie.
