Surprise birthday visit

My parents surprised Collin and drove down Saturday morning to help celebrate Collin's birthday and we had a very busy day.
We went down to Cabela's....little boy heaven. Liam loved these can't-remember-the-name animals.
 Collin loved the fish.
Liam also loved playing around on this bench.

We went to Coldstone and Collin got to choose his free ice cream..... cotton candy ice cream with gummy bears.
It was a fun Saturday!

Norberg reunion

The first weekend in April is the Norberg Family Reunion. It's at a park in Lehi, and my kids had SO much fun playing on the slides.
Liam thought he could spent eternity climbing up this slide and it is the first "big" slide he has gone down himself. He looked so big it made me a little sad.....

His face coming down the slide was priceless....like, this is the best thing in my LIFE mom!

I had to take a picture of the slide to show all that Liam could climb up and go down.
Collin found some girl (figures) to play with him and they chased each other around...

Collin in his full glory running from a girl....
Liam in his full glory leaving the slide. Fun times!

Reading away

One morning I came downstairs to this. It just touched my heart to see two little boys that had gone up and got some books.... these were the books they got free from the summer reading program.
We go to the library every week and check out lots of books, but this time I told Collin he would get to choose a book to take home. "Forever and ever" "Until we move out of this house mom?" How fun!

Collin's first swimming lessons

Yes, I know he is only 3. But, I thought it would be fun for Collin to take some swimming lessons, basic ones, so he can get better in actual swimming pools.
We just went to the local rec center by our house and Collin LOVED it. At the beginning he didn't even want to do bobs....but by the end, he was a professional.  Okay, for a very basic beginner.

Jumping from the side was a bit tricky at first.

Collin just LOVED swimming around on the steps. Lots of times I had to remind him to look at Stephanie his teacher.

We practiced ice cream scoops, bobs, and they also got to play games.

We had a great time, thanks!

Pioneer Day 2012

Ryan had some family in town for Pioneer Day so we went over to Barnhisels. Liam LOVES their dog Chunky. He just wants to hang out around him.
Uncle Steve was also so nice to help Liam ride around on the scooter..... SO fun!
Eating ice cream was a big hit.
 Almost all the cousins....
We also got to do fireworks. First year ever that Collin, by wearing headset lent by Auntie Shanna, actually enjoyed the fireworks.

Liam loved the smoke bombs.

Random July pictures

Liam loved Ava's booster seat. He thought he was the biggest thing ever to sit up and down in this seat.

Our first garden harvest. Finally a tomato! The green peppers have gone gangbusters.
My kids love fire trucks and everything to do with fire engines. One afternoon for quite awhile they played firemen. Liam was being too funny.....
This is one of 2 random pears we found in our backyard. No pear tree so still a mystery where they came from....

Playing in the pools

My kids love to be outside, all day, every day. When we get out the swimming pools, it's even MORE excitement.
We have 3 pools now. This little blue one I got the summer of Collin's first full summer...Liam is almost too big for it, but it is still a hit.
Liam has absolutely NO fear of water.....

This was a new pool for this year that sprays water from the little spout. It was fun.

We mostly love filling up the pools and also playing with the bath toys that squirt.

Yeah for swimming!
