Out of order pic with Liam trying to get to his donut. This week, the stake did a carnival for the youth. Collin brought his few-years old ranch dressing that still gets lots of attention since it is so unique. Painting pumpkins.Soda bar.Glow in the dark mini golf.
Our ward did the eating donut off a string, but with a new twist. You had the other side of the string tied to your foot, so you could only raise your donut if you raised your foot. It was funny. Trickier than it looked, but it was DEFINITELY a popular booth. I think the leg thing just made it stand out more.
Liam tried to get his but his leg wasn't as flexible as Collin's ha ha.
It was a fun couple of hours with different activities and booths.

Festival Transylvania, Part 2
Out of order pic walking out seeing these light up skeletons playing twister. The pictures don't do this part justice, but this was a really cool foam bubble area.
This section was probably my favorite because it had so many interactive parts to it.
You could shine these little flashlights on these pictures and then take them off and they would be like a shadow painting.
Here was the talking headless horseman.I LOVED this fairy skeleton garden. The lights of the flowers lighting on and off were really cool.More clue areas. This was really, really clever in the design. So many little details that made it fun to look at.
Walking through the cobweb. The witch was our favorite character. She was a great witch!Putting in the potion.
Token kid picture. The gypsy at the end seeing if we found all the magic.
We did! Then we got to see the book.
And here was Dracula! Funny picture. One of the best parts was they had CHEAP treats and snacks! $1 for almost everything! The kids got some fun stuff. I so so so appreciated reasonably priced snacks.Playing the ring the pumpkin game. Overall, we spent a little over an hour there. It was a really fun, unique experience for our family.

Festival Transylvania, Part 1
Out of order pic at one of the "fragment" areas. So I heard about this event, Festival Transylvania, I think last year and was reminded of it again this year. I think we ran out of time to try and do it last year, but this year I planned to do it on the day Ryan got off work early. It's been tricky to plan evening Halloween activities this year because of such rainy weather the first half of the month. To be honest, I had read a little about it, but didn't totally know what to expect. But it was really fun and unique. You walk through a fun greenhouse area with lots of photo ops before you enter the castle. Here the girls are trapped in the cage. Picture with the pirate. Ha ha.Had to get this picture of the wicked witch of the west since Evelyn is doing Wizard of Oz this year with Up with Kids.
These skeletons had jewels on them ha ha.
In front of Dracula's castle. There was a whole story about trying to get the magic back for Mickey's book. You found little details and clues all along the way. It was very clever.
Here was another clue area.
