So, I made my family get up crazy early to go to do the Narrows hike. And due to it being a little colder than usual, we rented the water bibs as well instead of just the boots/socks/stick. SO glad we did. It was definitely below 40 degrees when we started. LOVE this picture of our family right before we stepped into the water. We got up at 530 am, drove from the Barnhisel's house to the visitor center and got there a little after 7. Made it on the shuttle by around 730 so not the first shuttle, but it ended up being fine.
Everyone was really looking forward to this hike. Liam went in the deepest water. It was a LOT trickier than I thought. I had done SO much research about this hike the last couple of months. I knew the shoes and sticks would be vital, but it still was definitely trickier with all the rocks in most parts. We didn't end up going as far as I thought I would, but that was everyone else's decision for the most part.
Adeline found a fun picture spot.
Right about where we decided to come close to stopping. So we only went about a mile, mile and a half in, so we didn't make it to Wall Street I don't think, but that was ok. It was definitely an experience! So cool!
