Cruise, Day 4 sea day, and behind the scenes tour

Out of order pic, with the end of our tour and the Captain on the bridge.
Ryan getting the infamous ice cream on the pool deck.
Random picture on the pool deck.
My super yummy dulce de leche dessert.
Cute animal.
I have always wanted to do this on a cruise ship, go behind the scenes tour to see the inner workings of the ship.
This was where they make all the rolls and breads. The CHEESY ROLLS! I specifically told our tour guide in the kitchen to say thanks for those. I did write down they go through 18000 pieces of pizza per week and 54000 eggs. And they can make 260,000 gallons of water from the ocean safe to use and then recycle it. It's pretty amazing what a ship can do.

The dishwashing area. I told my guide I can't even imagine how many dishes they go through ha ha.

Here is where they do all the meats and plate them up for the waiters to take out.

Look at all those empty bread baskets waiting to be filled!
Here was down on level 1 of the provisions area. Here is where they receive all the food and then store it in huge refrigerated areas.
This was the frozen area. All this is basically gone after a week and then they do it again week after week after week.
This is the I-95 of the ship. It is a corridor that runs from one side of the ship to the other and is a lot of crew area.
This is the engine monitoring room. Each employee here is on for 24 hours working all by themselves. Making sure all the engines are working.

The last part of the tour is up to the bridge. Here is the view from the bridge.
Here we are mingling about talking to some of the officers.

The backup parts to moving around the ship.
This shows the path of the ship with everything else. I didn't understand it all but the bridge was very cool to see.

More of the monitoring area.
There is the captain himself. They work ten weeks on and ten weeks off. We got to ask him some questions. That was really cool. It was a fun tour!
