During the week adventure, Butterfly Biosphere at Thanksgiving Point

Out of order picture with Adeline's butterfly she named "Hermie".
I found out again this year on Tuesdays in February you could go for $5 to any Thanksgiving Point venue (normally $20-30 each) so the day after President's Day was still off school for a teacher workday, and so we went in the morning. The boys are good sports about going to the butterfly place so they came with us. Butterflies munching on banana buffet.
At the beginning, Adeline was trying SO hard to catch a butterfly.

Eventually she did and she was the butterfly whisperer after that. She got all kinds of butterflies on her.

Liam got one as well. We all remembered fondly last year with his ultra-colorful butterfly rode on his head the whole time, Maximums. RIP we didn't see him this year :( obviously.

This butterfly was Hermie. He had such GORGEOUS blue wings, but it was kind of hard to get him to open up.

Evelyn caught a REALLY pretty monarch looking one.

FINALLY I got a shot of the blue wings. It was so nice because we went so early, for the half hour--45 minutes we were inside there were hardly any people. When we were leaving, it was a LOT more busy.

I love seeing all the butterflies in their chrysallis.

We caught one coming out of the chrysallis again! This is so cool to watch!
Adeline had two on her at this point!

Liam caught one with a big "eye".
My picture doesn't do this one justice, it was SO pretty.

Adeline really loves this place.
Some super pretty ones hanging out in the green house part.

There is the one that came out earlier spreading it's wings for the first time.
I love this picture! This one on the right was SO pretty as well. Adeline had been trying to get it for awhile and then it finally landed on her.

Maybe it was her red shirt, but she got a lot of butterflies on her.
We always like the pushing rock to see how much pressure you can put. Collin got pretty high up to 65.
Pretty inside.

Adeline took these pictures.
Collin being silly with me when I took a picture of me to prove I was there. I just don't totally love handling the butterflies but love to watch them.
Collin and Liam together got 120 lb of pressure.

More butterfly pics.
Thanks Butterfly Biosphere! It was a fun morning!
