This past Saturday we did a "girls" Saturday adventure. They had a half price ticket to the Discovery museum from their reading program last fall, so instead of taking everyone, I thought the girls would enjoy and stay longer if it was just them. It was fun! They have remodeled a few things since we went there last year, so it was fun to see some new things.
The beehive is always fun to climb in.
This ball area right at the beginning is a favorite. We stayed there probably for 45 minutes!
Then we moved over to the water table. They have changed a few things at the water table.
Trying to block the water.
We decorated a planting pot in the art studio. And they wanted to sit and color for forever. Finally after 20 minutes of coloring, I told them to go play somewhere else. We can color at home :)
Doing the construction site. This has always been a big hit with my kids.
Getting into the part. Evelyn is always doing funny poses now.
The house area they have really remodeled. It's much more open and the kitchen part is a lot larger.
Getting dinner organized for me.
The store is a big hit. And they found a little girl to play with so they were in heaven. Evelyn and Adeline played with her basically the rest of the time we were there!
Figuring out the bank.
Working in the hospital.
Building her car of legos.
They have a new exhibit about dinosaurs. But we only stayed there for a little bit, probably because we have done a lot of dinosaur stuff recently so not as exciting.
Physical fitness area. They took down about half of this area for the dino exhibit, so I missed the slides and basketball area, but the girls still had fun.
Planting their pots.
One last play in the house. I finally made them leave around 3, due to other rhings going on at home, but they would have probably stayed all day if I let them. Thanks Discovery!
