Cruise Day 3 Halifax Nova Scotia

This was our first port stop. It was so great to get off the ship. Don't get me wrong, it's so fun on the ship, but I love to explore new places. As you can see, it was a bit nippy. I had on about a million layers. We decided not to do any "official" excursions and just explore on our own. This was a beautiful Botanical Gardens. Halifax was so pretty. And again, so quiet and relaxed walking around sin children.

We went up the hill and toured the Citadel. I had forgotten how much Canada and Great Britian are friends. These soldiers were cool. It was DEFINITELY windy.

It was really cool to hear about all the soldiers and why they built the Citadel and the history of the fort.
We got to see the gunfire practice.
Check out the fancy hats the soldiers had to wear.
View of downtown Halifax. I REALLY love places that you can see the ocean.
Firing of the cannon. They have done this firing every day at noon for more than 500 years, every day right on time, minus Christmas Day. That was cool.

 Walking the boardwalk.

A super cool lighthouse. It looks far away but it was close.
A mammoth cookie I bought at the market.
Churning away for sail away from Halifax.
 sailing the beautiful lighthouse.
 Sunset sailing away.
More sunset. Isn't that so beautiful?
These next pictures are from Ryan's phone. The beginning of the harbor walk. With the cool lighthouse in the background. We tried to get really good at selfies.

More of the botanical garden. Check out the cool fountain!

 Gazebos
 Cool little boats.

Guarding the firing of the cannon.

Buying the chocolates at the famous chocolate place.
Cool photos sailing out of Halifax. Tons of lighthouses around here obviously. It was a fun day!

Good night!
