This was a fun little hike. All the hikes we did were simple, most less than 1.5 miles (some closer to 2), but our kids always find things to explore, so even a 1 mile hike was at least an hour of exploring.
The Saturday we were there we finally had BLUE sky! It was a bit chilly first thing in the am, but it got warmer. I LOVE red rocks next to blue blue sky.
Adeline always was discovering things, so she got behind everybody else on each hike. But she basically did each hike the whole way by herself. I was so proud of her!
Skyline Arch view. So pretty!
And of course the kids hiked back behind the fallen rocks into this ravine.
Climbing on the rocks.
Sweet pic of Liam and Adeline.
Then we had a "Johnson Van Cafe" moment. Oh the memories.
Collin eating on the side of the road ha ha.

Moab trip Day 3- more of Arches- Landscape Arch
Driving into Arches is so cool. We didn't have nearly the time to see everything of course, but I loved this Park Avenue view from the road.
Reminded me of Monument Valley in a weird way.
The entrance to the Landscape Arch hike. Even though it was 9 in the morning, it was already fairly busy.
The kids found this cool sand hill to climb up near the first part of the hike.
Liam climbed up this mountain.
We made it! The Landscape Arch!

Canyonlands Part 3: Mesa Arch and a snowstorm
Hiked up to Mesa Arch. This was literally on the other side of this sheer drop off.
More climbing area.
Even Adeline got to the top of this one, she thought she was ultra cool.
More climbing.
We were going to go to Dead Horse Point State Park, and also hike Whale Rock, but our lunch ended up being in a snowstorm.....
You can't see the snow, but it was cold!
Grandpa being silly.
Buy hey, a picture of our whole family by Mesa Arch!
So after lunch, we opted to just head back to the hotel to swim and hang out. I was super bummed about not making it to Dead Horse Point again, but it isn't going anywhere.

Canyonlands Great Rim Trail Hike Part 2
Adeline loved these little alcoves she kept finding. She kept using sticks to "clean out the fairy houses."
More boy climbing.
Pretty scene, but that edge was a bit too drop off for me.
Ryan was brave enough to get a little closer. Seriously, very sheer drop off.
More fairy houses.
I spy Evelyn's head!
We didn't get all the way to the end of the hike. Our kids enjoyed the climbing aspect the most obviously. But this picture of Evelyn shows what it is like if you keep going. See that sheer cliff?
More climbing up.
Indeed, I was on this hike.
Another little alcove for Adeline to explore.
Such pretty scenery.
