Moab trip Day 2- Canyonlands Island in the Sky district part 1

Friday morning we drove to Canyonlands Island in the Sky District. We saw snow on the ground! So it was definitely chillier than I thought it would be. More people here, but still not super busy.
And there was blue sky! The day before had been overcast the whole day. These rocks look SO much better with blue sky behind them.
We went on the Grand Rim walk I believe.

This was a severe drop off so the padres decided not to come on this hike. I did not like to get close to the edge.
Cute selfie of Evelyn and Adeline.
And once again the mountain climbers began.

Adeline found a little cave thing to play around in.

Getting clear up to the top of this huge rock.

Evelyn climbed up fairly high on the rocks too.

Stay tuned for part 2.

Day 1 Arches National Park-The Windows Section

So because of the busy long lines in the middle part of the day, we came back after about 4. It was still fairly busy, but no line to get into the entrance. We decided to do the windows section. This was so cool!
This was the windows part. We went to two of the windows arches.

There was another turret arch, but the kids cared about walking and climbing more than walking out to see that one. seriously, even Evelyn got crazy into the climbing.

Liam climbed clear over onto this crazy part past the arch. It made me a little nervous.

Adeline climbing up to be a mountain goat.

Proof Ryan and I were there.

More mountain goat climbing.

Ryan and Adeline. We were going to see some other stuff, but the kids were kind of done by then. So we headed back to the hotel.

Day 1 Hole "N" The Rock

We drove out to a place called Hole N the Rock. It was really cool. It was a couple that basically built a 5,000 square foot home out of a rock.
Unfortunately we couldn't take pictures of the inside, but it was cool. Very unique and different.
Where the couple is buried.
Hanging out in the play area.
Getting ice cream.

Adeline spent her money on this little unicorn bus thing. She was SO SO SO happy!

Spring break Moab trip 2021 Day 1 Moonflower Canyon

Right when we got there, due to the long lines to get into Arches, we decided to do Moonflower Canyon first then go back to Arches. It was so fun to have a massive sand box to play in for this girl to play in who loves sand!
Check out this awesome hair!
Climbing on some rocks at the entrance.
Our kids are serious rock climbers.

Easy walk to the little pond at the end.

Cute picture of Collin.

Hiking down the way. We were basically the only ones on the trail.

Taking a break.

Serious climbing on the rocks at the end. Serious. Liam would have climbed up and over the mountain.

Adeline fell into the pool at the end of course. It was more like a little wading pond, but she did get soaked.

Can you spot the mountain climbers?
Yep, Liam is over there.
Somewhere. Yeah for fun outside time!
