Evelyns' last fall/winter volleyball games

Yesterday was Evelyn's last session of her volleyball games. And she played the BEST she has ever played!

The first match against the blue team, they won BOTH games. They have won a game or two before, but Evelyn told me their team had never won BOTH games in the same match. And she had some great serves that scored points and even a HUGE bump back from the back row that saved them winning the game on a good server.

Her one handed serve is getting MUCH MUCH better.

Evelyn has really enjoyed volleyball and Ryan was able to take work off to come to this game, and it was so great to have him there Evelyn said. I told Evelyn after, she really played her very best these last two matches. It's been fun to see her confidence grow as well as her team get better.

More serving.

Getting ready to return.

Not sure if she will do volleyball again (she has a LOT of interests) but as of right now, she would like to keep doing it. So that's a positive!

Atkinson cousin Sunday dinner

Years ago, Ryan and I got this fun advent nature calendar on our Maine cruise. For random reasons for one or another, I just didn't get it out until this year. Every night as a family we put something on the treehouse or build the treehouse.
We had Sadee and Adam and Ava and Ish over for a Sunday dinner FINALLY and after we decorated Christmas sugar cookies.

It was a really fun time.

We all voted Ava the best decorator.

And the girls had the most sprinkles ha ha.

Saturday adventure Dec 7 Festival of Trees

We figured out it had been 11 years since we went to Festival of Trees, so I thought it would be a fun Saturday adventure that would feel new to most people in our family.

This was my favorite tree, it was a travel type tree and had different maps, and pictures of places on the world and passports. It was cool.
Squishmallow and Harry Potter tree.
This little elf went up the ladder, it was really cute. He went up and down on the ladder.
This was one of Adeline's favorite trees because it had sea life in it, including axelotls.

First week of December, putting up upstairs tree, ward party, Evelyn plays volleyball and gets braids

At our ward party, Santa read the primary kids the story of Jesus' birth.
As per tradition, we put up the upstairs tree and some other decorations on Sunday after church.

It looks so pretty and fancy.
And Evelyn had some more volleyball games.

I have decided it is very hard to get good pictures of volleyball players :)
Evelyn doing her one-handed serve.

Getting ready to bump it back.

Evelyn went to a school friend's house and she did her hair in a bunch of braids.

Liam sometimes on Fridays has a bunch of friends over from school to play video games together, but last week they all went out and played basketball together. It was a nice sight to see 7 teen boys being active :)
